Frequency Use Case: Bingo

What Is Bingo?

Bingo is a promotion format in which multiple Mission Tasks are assigned to each cell of a bingo board, and participants complete the missions set for each cell to complete a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal bingo line.

Using Frequency's Mission Task Settings and Mission Combination Settings, different Mission Tasks can be assigned to each cell of the bingo board, and the Mission Tasks corresponding to one or more bingo lines can be configured as Chain Type mission combinations.

Participants fill the bingo board by completing various missions one by one and can complete a bingo line by completing all missions in a specified horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line. The key to a bingo promotion is to naturally encourage participants to complete multiple missions while providing the fun of completing one or more bingo lines.

Note.
It is recommended that the bingo board be designed so participants can easily check the completion status of each Mission Task by cell.
- Configure the bingo cells so that their appearance before and after mission completion can be visually distinguished.
- Configure the bingo board so participants can easily identify currently completed bingo lines based on the missions they have completed.

Setting Mission Tasks for Each Bingo Cell

In Promotion Management > Mission Settings > Mission Task Settings, configure the Mission Tasks to apply to each cell of the bingo board.

  • Configure each cell of the bingo board to correspond to one Mission Task, and set the mission completion condition for each Mission Task according to the promotion objective.
  • Example: When configuring a 3 X 3 bingo board, configure the nine cells of the bingo board to correspond to Mission 1 through Mission 9, respectively.

Setting Mission Combinations for Each Bingo Line: Chain Type

To configure a bingo line to be completed when all missions in a specific horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line on the bingo board are completed, select Chain Type under Prize Setting Type in Promotion Management > Mission Settings > Mission Combination Settings.

  • Configure each horizontal, vertical, or diagonal bingo line to be used for prize distribution as a separate Chain Type mission combination.
  • Chain Type requires all Mission Tasks selected in the mission combination to be completed for the mission combination to be completed.
  • Example (1): Complete Mission 1 + Mission 2 + Mission 3 → Complete 1 horizontal bingo line → Prize distribution
  • Example (2): Complete Mission 1 + Mission 4 + Mission 7 → Complete 1 vertical bingo line → Prize distribution
  • Example (3): Complete Mission 1 + Mission 5 + Mission 9 → Complete 1 diagonal bingo line → Prize distribution

Setting a Mission Combination for Completing Multiple Specified Bingo Lines: Chain Type

To distribute a separate prize to participants who complete all specified bingo lines, configure the Mission Tasks included in those bingo lines as a single Chain Type mission combination.

  • After selecting the bingo lines to use as prize distribution conditions, select all Mission Tasks included in those lines in a single Chain Type mission combination.
  • The number of bingo lines applied as prize distribution conditions can be configured differently depending on how the promotion is operated.
  • Example: On a 3 X 3 bingo board, set the first horizontal line (Mission 1 + Mission 2 + Mission 3) and the first vertical line (Mission 1 + Mission 4 + Mission 7) as prize distribution conditions, then complete the 2 specified bingo lines → Prize distribution

Setting a Mission Combination for Full Bingo Completion: Chain Type

To distribute a separate prize to participants who complete all Mission Tasks on the bingo board, configure the Mission Tasks corresponding to all bingo cells as a single Chain Type mission combination.

  • Example: Set Mission 1 through Mission 9 of a 3 X 3 bingo board in a single Chain Type mission combination → Complete all 9 Mission Tasks → Complete the entire bingo board → Prize distribution

Note.
To distribute prizes based on different completion conditions, such as completing one bingo line, completing multiple specified bingo lines, or completing the entire bingo board, configure each condition as a separate mission combination.
The number of mission combinations can be set in the Mission Combination Template Settings screen of the Frequency Design Editor.

  • Claim Prize: After a participant meets the completion conditions for the mission combination, the prize is distributed when the participant performs a confirmation action on the promotion screen.
